Shilling. 1888. #sherborne being further promoted Boatswain onAlthough spinks list the 1888 Shilling as both a more common 8 7 overdate and a rarer 1888 no overdate, other authorities state that all 1888 shillings are struck with the final 8 over a 7. Normally the bar of the 7 is a pretty obvious feature, but I had to check with a microscope to make sure with this one.
